Introduction
Our trust has 3 hospital sites – Kingsmill Hospital, Newark Hospital and Mansfield Community Hospital. Anaesthetic resident doctors can expect to get posted in Kingsmill and Newark hospital theatres.
Kingsmill – 10 Elective and 2 emergency theatres. 2 obstetric theatres
Newark – 3 elective theatres. Anaesthesia &Intensive care combined have 25 Substantive Consultants and 2 locum consultants

- Obstetrics: Our maternity unit delivers more than 3000 deliveries per year with an increasing caesarean rate closer to 50%

We have a consultant led separate anaesthetic and ICM teaching monthly, most of them are in hybrid format. Simulation session and hands on skill sessions are face to face. We also encourage suitable residents to attend monthly Primary
FRCA exam focussed sessions coordinated by residents from various departments.
There is a monthly Coffee &Gas Wellbeing sessions guided by Psychologists and coordinated by senior residents. Residents benefit from attending monthly divisional learning events, clinical governance afternoon, ICM morbidity & mortality meetings and CG Business meetings (Suitable for senior residents)
